Junior Business Development Representative (BDR)

We’re growing our Business Development Representative (BDR) team at Maptician, and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to make an impact from day one. As a BDR, you’ll help fuel our growth by reaching out to new prospects, sparking conversations, qualifying leads, and booking product demos for our Account Executive team.

You’ll be on the front lines of our growth, experimenting with creative outreach strategies, making daily calls, and finding fresh ways to connect with decision-makers. Responsibilities:

  • Hunt for new sales opportunities through a mix of inbound leads and outbound prospecting — email, phone, LinkedIn, and other channels.
  • Research and connect with the right accounts and decision-makers that fit our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP).
  • Craft and personalize outreach messaging that grabs attention and sparks conversations.
  • Respond quickly to inbound leads and book demos for Account Executives, keeping everything organized in HubSpot.
  • Hit or exceed weekly and monthly demo booking goals.
  • Track your activity, performance, and progress toward goals — know your numbers and own your results.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams to support campaigns, events, and lead follow-ups.
  • Keep learning about flexible work trends and the Maptician platform so you can have smarter, more impactful conversations.

Requirements:

  • A go-getter with 0–2 years of experience (recent grads welcome!) who is excited to jump into sales and business development.
  • Strong communication skills — you can write, speak, and connect with people effectively.
  • Curious, coachable, and eager to learn — you thrive on feedback and want to grow quickly.
  • Resilient and persistent — you can handle rejection, stay motivated, and keep pushing forward.
  • Comfortable with researching prospects, building lists, and managing outreach across multiple channels.
  • Organized and detail-oriented — you can track activity and keep CRM records up to date.
  • Excited about SaaS, technology, and workplace innovation, and motivated by helping organizations work smarter.
  • Self-starter mindset — you don’t wait to be told what to do, and you enjoy experimenting with new strategies to generate results.
  • This position is located in Lincoln, NE.
